e-Safety Education

Due to the increase in the exposure that young children have to an enormous amount of technology, most of which has access to the online world, children and those who are in a role which they supervise children online must be aware of e-safety.

http://www.safetynetkids.org.uk/personal-safety/staying-safe-online/ – This website outlines 10 top tips for staying safe online, ranging from ‘Don’t post any personal information online’ to ‘Remember that not everyone online is who they say they are’. All of these tips should be followed when using the internet, not just by those who are young, but for all as a a generally action code to follow.
The website has other ‘top 10 tip’ sections for mobile phone safety and what to do if you’re being bullied. All-in-all, I think this website is great for getting across the message of e-safety.
